Mail from Cyberoam-
I am writing to let you know of a cyber-attack aimed at a web service in the Cyberoam.com domain via a publicly-accessible read-only API. This attack resulted in the compromise of a database that was collected from our Cyberoam marketing portals. Our records suggest that your name, address or email address were part of that database.
The compromised database did not include any log-in details, passwords or sensitive financial information. This incident does not impact the security effectiveness of any Cyberoam product, and no action is required on your part.
However, it is possible that as a result of this incident, contact information such as your name, company name, company address, email address and phone number might have been compromised. During the coming weeks we advise you to remain vigilant for any targeted phishing attacks which may involve emails purporting to come from a Cyberoam email address. If you would like to confirm the legitimacy of any Cyberoam communications or have any additional questions, please email support@cyberoam.com or call Cyberoam technical support.
We apologize for this unacceptable incident and any inconvenience it may cause you. We have identified the root causes and have taken immediate steps to prevent such an incident in the future.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued trust in Cyberoam products and technologies.
